That’s exactly what this The Bond Shed wedding in Durban was: effortlessly stylish, deeply emotional, and full of bold, urban energy.

The Bond Shed gave us textured walls, high ceilings, soft light pouring through industrial windows, and the kind of blank canvas that lets the couple’s personality shine all the way through. And trust me - these two brought the vibes.

The Venue

Right in the heart of Durban, The Bond Shed is what I like to call “minimalist magic.” Raw brick, steel beams, and a ton of character. It’s modern, but not cold. Industrial, but totally romantic. It gave us everything we needed to build a gallery that was both gritty and gorgeous.

Getting Ready

Varetia & Michael decided to get ready in separate AirBnb's in Point which was perfect for jumping betwen the 2 of them quickly without needing much travel time. The location is also BEAUTIFUL and we got some incredible sea-views while capturing their intimate moments with their bridesmaids and groomsmen.

The Ceremony

We darted off to Umhlanga for Varetia & Michael to officially tie the knot at St. Michael Anglican Church. Set against the urban textures of the space, the ceremony felt like a blend of city chic and heartfelt moments. It was full of emotion - you could feel the energy shift when the bride walked in. Smiles, tears, and a whole lot of happy nerves.

The Portraits

We stepped outside for a few golden hour shots in a super secret spot! Varetia asked me 2 weeks before their wedding if I knew any places that would allow us to capture their photos on the roof of a skyrise building and after some digging... we found it! Here's how it turned out:

The Celebration

And then the party kicked off. Speeches that had everyone laughing and crying, spontaneous dance moves, and a dance floor that stayed packed all night long. It was the kind of wedding where the love was loud - in the best way.
